Confirm the collection method

Confirm your system version and collection method with your PBX administrator before changing settings. The serial parameters below are a legacy collector reference, not LAN connection settings. Ask us to confirm your setup.

Serial collector reference

  • Baud rate: 19200
  • Data bits: 8
  • Parity: None
  • Stop bits: 1
  • Flow control: Hardware

Review SMDR output

Open the KX-NS Maintenance Console or web console and go to Maintenance > SMDR. Review these reference values against your system and your organization’s call-record privacy requirements:

  • SMDR Type: TYPE C
  • Outgoing Call Print: Print
  • Incoming Call Print: Print
  • Intercom Call Print: Print
  • Log-in/Log-out Print: Print
  • ARS Dial (Automatic Route Selection): Dial after ARS Modification
  • CallerID Print format: Name + Number
  • DDI/DID Print format: Name + Number
  • Secret Dial: Print dialled number
  • Privacy mode: Print Dialled Number
  • Date Format: YY-MM-DD (international format)

LAN connection and system time

For the LAN path, review Maintenance > Miscellaneous > Connect with LAN Port. Confirm the remaining network and collector requirements for your system before connecting.

Under System > Date & Time, check that the date and time are current so call records can be reviewed against the correct period.
